Sandhills School Arts & Recreation Center

The Sandhills School Arts & Recreation Center was a design build 18,000 SF facility. It includes a state of the art basketball court with retractable goals, a fine arts performance stage, art classrooms, conference center, and weight room. The exterior features an outdoor basketball court, tennis court, and a gathering area with custom woodwork and fireplace.

The structure is a combination of structural steel, structural masonry units, and wood framing. The exterior of the building was completed with brick veneer and EIFS. The flooring in the interior of the building includes a maple basketball court, LVT, rubber flooring, and ceramic tile. The art classrooms consist of three classrooms with a kiln and custom millwork to accommodate supplies and artwork while the athletic corridor includes a weight room with rubber flooring and storage rooms for athletic gear. The performance stage includes stage lighting, an audio/video control room with panel controls, and hardwood floor stage.
