Dorn VA Rehabilitative Clinic

This project consists of a new 16,500 SF Rehabilitative Facility constructed for the Dorn VA Hospital in partnership with the Charleston District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The building features a structural steel frame with a masonry and aluminum composite material (ACM) veneer, and is topped with a TPO roofing system.

Interior spaces include individual exam rooms, a large open physical therapy area, and multiple private offices. Interior finishes include welded seam flooring, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), ceramic tile, and protective wall panels throughout.

The mechanical systems are low-pressure steam-based and supported by an advanced building automation system (BAS), which allows centralized monitoring and control from the hospital’s main engineering control center.
