Boyer Selected for Fort Jackson National Cemetery Expansion
Boyer Commercial Construction has been awarded a project to expand Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
The 20-acre expansion will provide 5,632 pre-placed crypts, 2,376 in-ground cremains sites, and 729 traditional burial sites, according to a news release from the Columbia-headquartered company. Boyer was selected from among six other construction firms in a bidding process, according to the release.
“We are honored to be selected as the contractor to execute the expansion of this national shrine,” Justin Schaeffer, Boyer’s director of federal contracts, said in the release. “Boyer is committed to providing premier service to the veterans in South Carolina by developing new burial areas and expanding permanent facilities at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery.”
